Springtime is upon us and wedding season is in full bloom.
I love the feeling springtime brings; with the flowers and the trees showing their colours and bright blue skies finding their way through as we say goodbye to winter and hello to a fresh new wedding season.
I always feel like spring holds a lot of promise, you never know what you might get, but with the unpredictable English weather springtime can sometimes give us the glorious weather we all hope for on our wedding day.
When I think of a spring wedding flowers spring to mind (pun intended!) So if you dream of a garden party wedding with flowers in your hair here are some beautiful spring time wedding inspirations to make your day blooming marvellous!
Here are a few of my favourite spring wedding ideas:
All things Floral;
I’m talking flower walls, crowns, dresses even the cake. Spring just screams pretty florals and no spring wedding would be complete without an array of stunning floral pieces.
Easter eggs as favours, hard-boiled egg place cards; the possibilities are endless. If you’ve got a lot of kids in attendance keep them busy during the drinks reception with an Easter egg scavenger hunt its guaranteed to keep the little (and big) kids entertained.
They make the perfect rustic decoration at any springtime wedding. Fill them with wonderful wild blooms or even add a wooden wedding sign, these steel favourites are bound to make a wonderful garden feature and bring the outdoors in.
Gingham & Hay bales;
This one takes some serious commitment to the springtime theme, but when well executed, gingham and hay bales can really add that rustic charm to an outdoor wedding. Think guests sat on hay at your ceremony, gingham shirts and table decor to really fit the theme
Seeds, Jams & Teas;
Wedding favours can be a pain to get right and often get tossed to the side. A new firm favourite is favour tables which let your guest treat themselves to a favour if their choice. Tea bags, homemade jams and packets of seeds all scream springtime.
No spring wedding theme would be complete without a pretty pastel pallet. The soft baby colours are perfect for adding colour to your day. No need to stick with just one for your bridesmaids, why not try dressing them in a different colour each or maybe even just a subtle nod to spring by adding in a different colour bouquet to really make them stand out.
